The association will hold its elective general assembly on March 18.
Nine positions will be up for grabs. The president, vice president-administration, vice president-technical, vice president-finance.
Four coordinators for the northern, central, south central and southern regions will also be elected.
The association’s general manager, Pinkie Wilson, said they were open for collection and submission of nomination forms from February 14-27.
She said some of the requirements for candidates to be eligible was that they should not have been previously charged or found guilty of any offence.
She said submission forms should be accompanied by finger prints clearance or an affidavit from the police clearing them from any wrong doing.
Another requirement was that a candidate should be a member of the association’s affiliates in good standing
Wilson said they had received a high number of candidates who had shown interest to lead BAA.
Wilson said they would listen to any queries before the end of February and that from March all the candidates would be allowed to embark on their campaign.
She said they planned to host a presidential debate on March 10.
Wilson noted that as per the BAA constitution, the secretariat was given the mandate to run the elections and that they would deliver transparent, free and fair elections. ENDs
