Duo meet in thrilling cup tie

Troubled Kgatleng giants, Mochudi Centre Chiefs will travel to the Holy Ghost Park in Mmopane for a mouth-watering Orange FA Cup last 48 tie.
Season four of the annual soccer spectacular has drawn the two sworn rivals to go head to head in the first round of fixtures slated for the Holy Ghost sporting club home ground Sunday.
Chiefs aim to defend their impressive away record against their opponents despite the current hiccup following a string of loses in the First Division South league campaign.
Since roping in the experienced Daniel ‘Chico Dance’ Nare, Magosi, as Chiefs are fondly called by their legion of supporters collected maximum points against Broadhurst United, lost against Matebele and fought to another bitter loss against visiting Gabane Flamingo Santos at the weekend.
This proved a bitter pill to swallow for the hard to please Magosi faithfuls who jeered Nare off the ground.
Coming into the weekend’s fixture Nare will be expected to have something sweet planned for the Magosi supporters.
On the other hand the Holy Boys, under the watchful eye of interim coach Daniel Jim are still nursing bruises from their last meeting with Chiefs.
Chiefs’ captain Khumoetsile Kufigwa then rose above his markers and his looping header was enough to defer Holy Ghost’s title victory in the first division.
Holy Boys are still languishing at the bottom of the Botswana Premier league log. They, however, come into Sunday’s game buoyed by their sweet victory against Mogoditshane Fighters in the last league match.
It might also prove to be a different ball game against Magosi as Holy Ghost have assembled a completely different team with new and big name players in the mould of Patrick Kaunda from VTM, Mmoloki Kebalepile from Township Rollers, Katlego Mbise from Masitaoka, Oabile Makopo of Security Systems and former Extension Gunners marksman Kabelo Babusi who was recently lured from Jwaneng Galaxy.
In other games to be played over the weekend VTM host Matebejana, Nojane Young Stars play UB Hawks, Black Rangers play Mochudi United, Taung Young Strikers against URI Black Forest, Kang Royal Stallion face Lokgwabe United, Matebele FC face Tlokweng United while Naughty Boys take on Broadhurst United.
The next fixtures will feature teams from the North next weekend of February 25 and 26. ENDS
