The National Stadium will be a battle field  on Saturday when traditional rivals; Gaborone United (GU) and Township Rollers meet in a premeir league clash.

Speaking at a media conference on Wednesday, GU’s brand manager, Herbert Letsebe, said they had been preparing for the derby in the past three weeks.

Also, he said, they advertised the game on social media and hosted activation events at different places.

Prior to the 3:30pm kick-off, GU and Rollers women teams will lock horns at 11:30am.

“There will be some entertainment too, Casper DJ, DJ Rodrich and Charma gal will perform,” he added.

Letsebe said negotiations for sale of alcohol at the match were ongoing between BNSC and KBL.

He urged fans to buy tickets at the webtickets and other designated areas, adding there would be no sale of tickets at the stadium Township Rollers’ public relations officer, Bafana Phetho, said the team was ready for the encounter.

Coaches of both teams also said everything was in place and they were ready for the match.  ENDS
