The International Youth Fellowship (IYF) will host the 13th youth festival from November 30 to December 2 at Gaborone’s BA ISAGO University Convention Centre.

The IYF organiser, Sethunya Lekoma said the festival was aimed at developing youth who were ‘healthy minded, humble and responsible for today and tomorrow’.

“IYF promotes mindset transformation, volunteerism and cultural exchanges among the youth,” she said.

She said some of the activities would include intercultural dances, exchange of ideas, culture and skills.

Lekoma also said the youth would have the opportunity to learn foreign languages such as French, Portuguese and learn to play instruments such as piano and guitar as well learn disciplines such as Marshall arts among other activities.

She said her team had been working with the Ministry of Youth, Gender, Sport and Culture, whom she said were supportive of the initiative.

She noted that the festival usually attracted more than 1 000 young people from different backgrounds.

She urged the youth to like iyfbw page on facebook in order to have an insight on what the festival was all about.

In future, she said the team  planned to take the festival to other parts of the country since they had been getting positive feedback with many youths wanting to be part of the organisation. Ends
