Kweneng trains regional structures

10 Nov 2022

Kweneng Regional Football Association has conducted a workshop on FIFA Connect system.

In an interview recently, the region’s chairperson, Vincent Mafuta said the FIFA Connect Programme helped member associations register stakeholders in a systematic way and keep track of players, coaches and referees wherever they were.

Mafuta pointed out that the Connect Programme provided a unique FIFA ID code for every individual who had a role in the football organisation.

“This code is like a digital football passport number and has the information of the history of each stakeholder,” he said.

He further highlighted that FIFA and BFA advocated for fairness and equity in football.

The training workshop also aimed at empowering regional structures to register players on FIFA connect.

Furthermore, Mafuta urged Kweneng administrators to execute their mandate fairly, approve players on time to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

“They are now official administrators hence must execute functions in a meticulous manner” he said, adding Kweneng was a big region therefore it must act swiftly to assist teams. ENDS
