BTTA reveals sponsorship

The one-day India75 tournament, to be held in collaboration with Botswana Table Tennis Association (BTTA) and the Indian High Commission, has received a P23 000 sponsorship.
BTTA public relations officer, Tshegofatso Malepa, said First Capital Bank had contributed P15 000 towards the tournament scheduled for Botho University on November 13.
Phoenix Assurance Group also came on board with a P5 000 sponsorship while the chief financial officer at Phoenix, Rahul Srivastava contributed P3 000.
Malepa said the tournament would feature senior women and men singles, mixed doubles and Under 12 singles.
The winners in the senior singles category will walk away with P4 000, followed by P2 000 and P750 for second and third positions respectively.
As for the mixed doubles, Malepa said the champions would receive P1 000, runner-ups; P500 while winners in the Under 12 category will receive medals.
Malepa said the tournament draw would seed players based on their rankings and that the results would add to the players’ BTTA rankings and be used to seed players for the BTTA open tournament in December. Ends
