Newly elected Botswana Football Association (BFA) women’s committee aims to push football development in the regions, the committee chairperson Keeng Mosinyi has said.
In an interview on Sunday at a BFA women’s committee elections in Letlhakane, she said the challenge in women football was development, citing instances where girls were not represented in some tournaments, hence the need to develop women football at grassroots.
The new committee, she said, intended to continue where the old one left off in addressing challenges facing the sport, adding that before soliciting sponsorship for the national team, there was need to help regions find sponsors first.
Mosinyi said there were some potential sponsors they were planning to engage, adding they had partners they would like to work with in terms of soliciting sponsorships.
During the meet, Sello Modise was elected vice chairperson, Kelebogile Makgato secretary, Tebogo Oitsile, as the treasurer whilst Mogomotsi Reekae and Peo Keatlholetswe being additional members. ENDS
