Mpote happy with performance

Orapa United coach, Mogomotsi ‘Teenage’ Mpote is happy with his performance at the club.

In an interview this week, Mpote said he had won the Orange FA Cup and Mascom Top 8 with the Ostriches in 2019 and the Mascom Charity Cup ithis year.

Mpote said he had built a strong team, which was capable of winning the league, adding during his tenure they played the Confederation Cup in Angola, Rwanda, Gabon and Cameroon.

A press release from Orapa United says the team and Mpote reached an amicable agreement to separate after four years of partnership.

The team’s communications and media officer, Emmanuel Seiphetlho, agreed that Mpote played a significant and meaningful role at their club.
Seiphetlho said the team appreciated his coaching skills.

“With the skills and techniques that the team acquired from him, we believe we can win the league,” he said.

He noted that Mpote’s coaching skills and experience earned him the honour to coach the national team.

Mpote’s current contract with the team commenced in July 2021 and was due to end in 2023.

Asistant coach, Gadimang Tiiso will be the interim head coach, and that to facilitate a swift handover and transition, Mpote’s last assignment with the Ostriches will be end of this month. ENDS
