Professional boxer, Kutlwano Ogaketse, will undertake his maiden title bout; Africa Super Light Weight, in Polokwane, South Africa on Sunday.
Coach Thebe Setlalekgosi of DRAD professional boxing club said Ogaketse who left for South Africa yesterday would face an equally reputable professional boxer in Talent Baloyi of South Africa.
He said since turning professional, Ogaketse had been impressive and was ready to engage in a title bout.
He further said winning an African title would be a giant leap in his professional career, something that could motivate him to challenge for a world title.
He said since turning professional, Ogaketse registered an impressive record of 10 non-title bouts, which included seven wins, a draw and two defeats.
“At open boxing level, he has a record of 69 fights,” said Setlalekgosi.
Despite facing a competent boxer, Setlalekgosi was confident that on a good day, Ogaketse would outmatch his opponent.
Of recent, he said locally based professional boxers were impressive in the continent and received invitations to fight for titles.“They are being eyed by professional boxing promoters because of their impressive records from as far as their amateur boxing years. He is one of the boxers who have represented the country well,” said Setlalekgosi. ENDS
