Parliament winter session starts

Parliament winter session commences today to discuss both government and private members bills.
A press release from the National Assembly says the meeting, which is the third one of the third session of the 12th Parliament, will run for six weeks and is expected to end on August 19.
“Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the meeting will be held virtually and broadcast live on Botswana Television,”states the release.
The press release further says the meeting proceedings will be transmitted through the Botswana Parliament Facebook page. It adds that the meeting will conclude the third session of the 12th Parliament.
“A session of Parliament usually commences in November of each year and ends in October the following year.” ENDS
