Zebras take on Comoros today
06 Jul 2022
Botswana’s Zebras will, today, face the unpredictable Coelacanths of Comoros in a Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup clash at King Zwelethini Stadium (2pm).
The Zebras won their first game against Seychelles 1-0 courtesy of Thato Kebue, while Comoros lost 1-3 to Angola.
On paper, Comoros are not a threat, but they have players, who are good and dangerous when attacking.
Botswana coach, Mogomotsi Mpote, said they were prepared to take Comoros down, having witnessed their deep defending style of play, which allowed Angola to attack.
“When you defend deep, you are saying to your opponents, come and hurt us and if Comoros can play with their same trend of defending, we will score goals,” he said.
Mpote said they had identified some errors in their game with Seychelles, which they would correct in today’s game, adding they would defend the country against the Coelacanths’ invasion. Ends
