Odirile Sento alias Vee and Dalom Kids’s latest offering Abathandanayo might be the duo’s album of the year given the listeners’ response.

The single, released this week,  is a must for your playlist, your everyday disco with a bit of nostalgia from Dalom Kids, with a cherry on top that is Vee’s hoarse voice.

It is Ideal for family get together kind of events and long drives.

Before Abathandanayo’s release, Vee released the teasers, which evoked mixed feelings on social media platforms.

Some viewers posted emotional emojis, stating how the song took them back to yesteryears when Dalom Kids under the directorship of the late Dan Tshanda used to enjoy large following in Botswana.

Abathandanayo simply translated to What God has joined together, let no one separate.

In an interview Vee said Abathandanayo means those who love each other, talks about love, friendship, business partners or any kind of relationship that was joined by God.

Known for House kwasa music genre, Vee said the late Tshanda introduced him to Splash, hence he decided on collaboration with Dalom Kids, regretting that he collaborated when he had already passed on.

Vee said since the death of Splash boss, people had been calling for him to make a collaboration with Dalom Kids as a remembrance of ‘The big husband’ as Tshanda was fondly called in entertainment circle. Furthermore, Vee said that despite the public outcry, it took long for him and Dalom Kids to put something together.

“So we then decided to do a collabo as people wished, and I am happy that Abathandanayo will also revive Splash music,” he said.

“I must hasten to tell you that people have welcomed the song, as it speaks to everyone in the society.

The lyrics Bobedi jona bo kopantswe ke Modimo is a powerful message and I think that is where the catch is,” he said.

Mampezy said currently people could access the song in all his social media platforms, to appreciate it for free.

He, however, said soon they would be shooting a video to upload in YouTube, adding that he was confident of reaching a lot of people.

Vee said they would also be launching Abathandanayo soon.

On its first day on his Facebook page, the song was viewed by 63k and shared by 41 viewers.

As for the comments on the page, it was positivity all the way, with some even suggesting that Vee of Letlhale le a Tsamaya fame  abandon House kwasa for disco as he jelled well with Dalom Kids.  ends
