Gabs July fashion show organisers have roped in one of South Africa’s celebrated fashion designers, David Tlale for the fun-filled and glamourous show scheduled for July 15 in Gaborone.

The Gabs July fashion director Thabang Mmolotsi told BOPA in an interview that the fashion show, to be held under the theme: Winter Glamour, was a precursor to the biggest horse racing show in Botswana.

She said Tlale would feature his collections alongside five other Batswana fashion designers who would have their pieces from the ramp up for sale on the day.

Mmolotsi said besides the five designers, there were other designers who would not showcase on the stage, but their collections would appear on various Gabs July platforms such as websites.

She also said the organisers  had made a call to local designers to register so that they could showcase their collection of the Winter Glamour.

On the music side, the event will feature Khoisan while Mrs Botswana will be the guest of the day. Top five Miss Botswana finalist and international Model Dr Thanolo Keutlwile is the face of the show.

She said models would also be working with fashion designers based on their design requirements.

The event is set to benefit, among others, designers, models and entertainers in terms of exposure. ENDS
