There will be no games for Lucara Netball League this weekend due to the senior national team camp.

The national team will be on camp until June 26 to enable selection of a provisional squad for the world cup qualifiers.

In an interview yesterday, Botswana Netball Association’s marketing and public relations officer, Mokeresete Mokeresete, said they would use the camp to select the final 15 players from the current 22.

He further explained that the league would resume next month.

Lucara Netball League started June 18 and is expected to end in November.   Mokeresete said the league includes both men and women’s teams in the north and south.  As the highest level of competition in the country, it affords players a platform to be actively engaged while improving tperformance of the national teams.
