Black Rangers will represent Tsabong Regional Football Association at the Western Block First Division South League promotional play-offs  billed for Tsabong July 1-3.

Tsabong-based Rangers booked a spot in the regional playoffs after a 2-1 win against Desert Nxau in a hotly contested championship decider game on Tuesday.

Rangers will lock horns with the other champions from Hukuntsi, Gantsi and Kang regions.

Regional league committee organizsd the deciding game after Rangers forfeited three points against Tsabong Chester City for failure to honour the game.

Although Rangers coach Mooketsi Tshugane said he was happy with performance of his players, he was worried that they had to prepare themselves for the promotional playoffs within a short period of time.

For his part, Desert Nxau coach Hendrick Coetzee said they lost the game because most of the players had injuries which resulted in lack of concentration on the field. He, however, said they intended to boost the team this season to take it to its glory days.

In the 1990s, Desert Nxau was known for its strong play. ENDS
