Use talent to better lives author

Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) youth have been urged to use their God given talent to better their lives.

Poetic Blood Publishers chief executive officer, Lame Pusetso, said this during the Truth in Rhythm &Rhymes live concert in Gaborone on Saturday.

The concert enabled young Christians to perform and share their poetic and musical talents.

Pusetso, who is also an author of 11 books and African Writers round table Ambassador for Botswana, said she believed that there was enormous talent in the church.

She said there were writers, singers, fashion designers and many other professions in church and urged those hiding such talents to come out and realise their God given gifts.

In an interview, music rapper and poet, Kgomotsego Otukile aka Ms Kay P, said she was happy that the concert brought great minds together.

“The main idea was to celebrate each other’s talent and show the world out there that everyone has a talent that God has bestowed upon them,” said Ms Kay who organised the concert.

The 27-year-old also said the concert had taught young people that everyone had their own craft.

Ms Kay also said there was space for everyone and they should remember that God created them differently for a purpose.Truth in Rhythm & Rhymes concert featured more than 10 artists who performed to their best. It was a session that had different poets who praised God in poetry and songg.

Truth in Rhythm & rhymes will also have series of concerts in the future, where aspiring artists will showcase what God put in their music hearts. ENDS
