Duo plans for next football season

Coaches of both Chadibe Football Club and Peacemakers have set their eyes on the 2022/23 season after their teams managed to survive relegation.
Both Chadibe and Peacemakers made their First Division North (FDN) league debut this season.
Speaking in a post-match interview after a 2-0 win that ensured Chadibe survived the relegation scare, coach Murphy Maseko said the team leadership would reflect on the season before deciding on the future.
“We are going to sit down and look back to see where we can strengthen our team and where we can offload so that we inject in a lot of young blood to blend with the experienced ones,” said Maseko.
He his team finally evaded the dreaded relegation axe after collecting 28 points from 21 games, Maseko said the mood in the camp was at peak after losing to Maun United Terrors in a game they ‘took lightly’ since the team had already relegated.
“We jumped the gun. We had already told ourselves that Terrors would be a pushover and we would easily collect the much needed maximum points,” Maseko revealed, adding that Chadibe would be competing for promotion to the Premier League next season.
However, Peacemakers, who spent the better part of the season chasing after a promotional playoffs spot before being edged out by Eleven Angels, had already given up on the ambition.
“I will be looking for four players to bolster my team. I need to find two good strikers to finish up our moves,” said Peacemakers coach Edward Leposo.
Leposo recollected that his team was doing well with buildups, but let down by poor finishing. However, the former Great North Tigers gaffer promised to compete in the 2022/23 season.
Leposo joined Peacemakers when the team was still competing in the FA Cup, but went on to lose to fellow FDN league competitors Eleven Angels.
Angels would go on and replace Peacemakers at the second spot. It was the beginning of a downward spiral for the Bobonong side that parted ways with coach Kelebogile Dingalo. The two teams ended the game with ten men each after Peacemaker captain Phillips Ofitlhile was red carded following a second caution. He was first cautioned for a dangerous tackle on Samuel Phiro before another on Cyprian Masule.
Parity was restored after Allen Diwere was shown red card for probably what he uttered in protest.
In other FDN league games, Eleven Angels were confirmed the runners-up and will compete for a Premier League spot with another runners up from the First Division South league.
Angels walloped Maun Terrors 2-0 away in Maun.
Champions Nico United put one past Motlakae Dynamos, Green Lovers beat Sankoyo Bush Bucks 3-2, Tafic won 1-0 against Santa Green while Miscellaneous and Calendar Stars played to a goalless draw. ENDS
