Orapa Bowling Club tournament champions

Orapa Bowling Club was on Saturday declared champions of the national tournament. Team Orapa emerged the winners followed by Jwaneng team whilst Francistown Bowling Club took position three at the just ended tournament in Orapa. 

Team Orapa won the singles and fours in both women and men’s games.  It also won the pairs and triples in the women category whilst Jwaneng and Francistown won the pairs and triples in the men’s games respectively.

In the women singles game, Tshenolo Moshokgo of team Orapa humiliated Boikhutso Mooketsi of Jwaneng with an 8-0 score line.

In the men’s singles, Fred Kelatwang of Orapa fought hard to win 3-2 against Binesh Desai of Francistown. The pairs in the women category were won by Tshenolo Moshokgo and Mpho Khubi of Orapa while in the men’s section it was won by Charles Diteko and Joseph Nthobalang of Jwaneng through a 19-13 score against Edwin Nyoka and Kaizer Geche of Orapa.

The men’s triples were won by Sonny Mbisana, Bala Balendra and Gerrit Pretorious of Francistown team in a round robin through a slim margin of 14-13.

The ladies triples were won by Deliwe Kitsiso, Judith Baleseng and Chandapiwa Mothowamodimo of Team Orapa in a round robin.

The men’s fours game was won by Kitso Robert, Edwin Nyoka, Boago Galeboe and Kabelo Motshabi of Orapa while the ladies fours were won by Moshokgo, Doreen Moleleki, Gape Rapula and Mpho Khubi also from the Orapa team.

The competition secretary, George Kieni said Moshokgo and Kelatwang, who emerged players of the tournament, would represent the country in the Singles Champions of Champions.

The fours’ winners will represent Botswana at the Commonwealth Games in 2023 in two
