Botsetswe sinks Skoon Boys

Othusegile Botsetswe’s second half header handed Mogoditshane Fighters a 1-0 victory over Charleshill-based Skoon Boys in an Orange FA Cup encounter in Ghanzi on Saturday.
Botsetswe headed home a well executed cross from Tshepho Keselebale in the 64th minute.
Fighters made their victory intentions known from the first whistle when they piled pressure on hosts defence, but poor finishing let them down.
Six minutes after the goal, Botsetswe had a chance to increase the tally when he was one on one with the goal keeper, unfortunately his shot went wild.
Keselebale, who did not give Skoon Boys defence rest, also squandered several chances.
The trailing Skoon Boys tried to respond, but their efforts proved futile.
Fighters coach, Kgosietsile Motlhaule, said the performance of his boys were more telling though they were man down most of the second half after one of their players was awarded a red card.
The win, he said, was a motivation factor on the boys as they would be playing a league game in their next match.
Despite the loss, Skoon Boys coach, Kgobo Mogotsi said he was happy for his side’s efforts and that a better team won. ENDS
