Peacemakers prevail over Terrors

27 Feb 2022

Peacemakers have knocked out Maun Terrors from the Orange FA Cup by 3-2 scoreline.

The match was subjected to a penalty shootout after the two sides were tied at nil-all in regulation time.

The lackluster match was played at Semolale village development committee ground on Saturday.

During the shootout, Peacemakers goalkeeper, Gaolatlhe Tshupegetso, became an instant hero after saving two penalties with another hitting the crossbar.

Only Gabathomphe Tsheko missed for the hosts while Onkamogetse Mojwane, Tshephang Kodumo and Reuben Disho missed for the visitors.

In a post-match interview, Peacemakers coach, Kelebogile ‘Two’ Dingalo, hailed Tshupegetso for a stellar performance saying he was the difference.

Dingalo also praised Terrors for the competition despite losing to his team.

Terrors coach, Oarabile Bakang, partially blamed travelling schedule for having a toll on his boys.

Terrors played Peacemakers in a league game in Semolale last weekend before returning for the FA Cup fixture this past weekend.

“You can’t blame the boys because for me they played well,” said Bakang who conceded anyone could win in penalties.

He also conceded that losing twice to the same team in successive weekends was part of the game, but his side would work on rectifying their flaws as they prepare for their league games. ENDs
