Motaung Young Fighters host Mochudi Centre Chiefs
10 Feb 2022
Kang-based Motaung Young Fighters face Mochudi Centre Chiefs in a Debswana First Division South game at Mahusane grounds tomorrow.
The highly awaited game is expected to draw multitudes of spectators owing to Chiefs’ rich history.
Although a spectacular show could be in the offing, the hosts would go into the game a weakened lot.
Fighters are bottom of the log after suffering humiliating losses.
They have not fought enough to amass adequate points to assert their survival in the league though a call for relegation could be farfetched.
With only two points to their name, Fighters face Chiefs who are perched on the fifth spot with 15 points.
Although Chiefs would want to garner maximum points and ascend the league log, Fighters too are yearning for maximum points to better their chances of survival.
However, languishing at the bottom and probably accustomed to the position, Fighters have nothing to lose and could stage an upset for Magosi.
Fighters coach, Goitsemodimo Morulane admitted their struggles of securing invaluable points.
However, the Kang side is ready for a fight. No fear whatsoever.
In this war, Fighters seek to apply themselves diligently to serve spectators and opponents a spectacular show.
A lack of experienced players due to weak financial muscle, the team could not recruit experienced players to help direct the young, inexperienced ones.
However, Chiefs would not afford to lose to a team that has been magnanimously donating points to opponents.
Coach Tebele Linchwe said they had their sights set on all the points in order to keep ascending up the table.
Still on Saturday Tlokweng side Red Sparks will host Matebele, URI Black Forest will be home to UF Santos, Holy Ghost await Matebejana at Holy Ghost Park while Mochudi Rovers lie in wait for Taung Young Strikers.
Tlokweng United will be away to Broadhurst United at SSG Ground.
In north, Chadibe will be home to Peacemakers, Nico United await Motlakase, Green Lovers welcome Sankoyo Bush Bucks, Santa Green will entertain Tafic with the last Saturday fixture seeing Calendar Stars home to Miscellaneous.
On Sunday Eleven Angels will play Maun Terrors at Francistown Council Stadium. All games start at 3:30pm. ENDs
