The third season of the Orange FA Cup will be launched with an encounter between Tsabotlhe and Sankoyo Bush Bucks on February 25.

This fixture was a result of this season’s draw held at the Orange headquarters in Gaborone on Wednesday.

The draw entailed 32 teams from north and south regions. They will battle it out for the P700 000 grand prize.

The northern games will be played between February 25 and 27 while the south region will go to the grounds from March 4 - 6.

Meanwhile, Chadibe FC will face Chobe United while BIUST All Stars will battle against Boston and Calendar Stars will come against Motlakase Power Dynamos.

Other fixtures; Maun Heros vs Eleven Angels, Sua Flamingo Santos vs Santa Greens, Pearisa vs Nico United whereas Peace Makers will battle it out with Maun Terrors.

In the southern Mogoditshane Fighters were drawn against Skoon Boys Sporting Club, Broadhurst United with Kgabo Setso while Flamingo Santos will play with Holy Ghost and Black Forest against Black Rangers. Others; Mochudi Centre Chiefs vs Masitaoka, Hungry Leopards vs Matebele, Red Sparks vs Tlokweng United and Lekgwabe United will face Motaung Young Fighters.

Speaking at the tournament draw, the general manager for football operations, Monnakgotla Mojaki, stated that season three would be exciting and eventful.

The success of the tournament, he said, would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of all the stakeholders’ particularly the participating teams.

“We have delivered two great seasons amidst the challenges of COVID-19 and we look forward to an incredible and thrilling season three,” said Mojaki.

Last year Gaborone United were crowned the champions. ENDs
