First division South League starts tomorrow

Excitement returns to football when multitudes flock different sporting grounds as the first division league starts tomorrow after suspension of sport for almost two years due to COVID-19.
Former premier league giants Mochudi Centre Chiefs aka Magosi, will lock horns with URI Black Forest Sporting Club at Black Forest Arena at 4pm on Saturday.
Magosi start the league run with the ambition to win and trace their steps back to the elite at the end of the season, particularly under a new coach.
In an interview, Magosi general manager, Bobo Moswaane said preparations had been going well and were ready to face their opponents.
However, he said it was going to be a tough game as they were still working on getting the right combination and were not familiar with a number of new Black Forest players.
The Mochudi-based outfit had won the premier league title a few times as well as a number of cups such as Kabelano Charity and Coca Cola Cup including participation in CAF competitions.
As for Mmankgodi-based URI Black Forest Sporting Club, public relations officer, Nametso Majafi indicated that the team had been training well and were ready for the battle.
She said they had a number of friendly matches in the past weeks against teams such as Notwane, VTM, Masitaoka, Gilport Lions as well as Centre chiefs, and she was happy with the team’s improvement.
Majafi highlighted that they had faced Centre chiefs seven times in league games and Black Forest won three, while four were draws.
She urged their supporters to come in large numbers and support the team, noting that they had prepared well for the game and they expect positive results.
“Our supporters will leave the grounds smiling as we usually do against Magosi,” she added.
The other five matches taking place tomorrow in the first division first round include Matebele Football Club against UF Santos Football Club at Matebele Primary School.
All games will start at 4pm.
Red Sparks Football Club will, at their home ground, face Mabebejana Football Club, while Motaung Young Fighters will be up against Taung Young Fighters at Mahusane Primary School.
At Holy Ghost Park, Tlokweng United Football Club will face Holy Ghost Football Club and Mochudi Rovers Football Club will be up against Broadhurst United Football Club at Mochudi Rovers Grounds. ENDS
