Mr Everything Pontera releases Kill Corona

Mpho Simon a.k.a Mr Everything Pontera has dropped a new disco single titled Kill Corona.
The 41-year-old Kgagodi native is fairly new in the music business and first graced the music scene with his debut album titled Re a ipusa in 2018.
He went on to record a second album, Pontera wa nyala, at Colours Records under the production of Tshepo ‘Tespo’ Oakile.
Speaking in an interview, Simon said with his music, he intended to serenade and convey important messages hence his latest single, Kill Corona.
Simon said the song was well received in his home town of Selebi Phikwe and planned to include it in his upcoming album called Dirukuthi.
“Kill Corona is an informative piece that sensitises on the dangers of COVID-19 and what people must do to protect themselves,” Simon said.
After benefitting from Nyeletso lehuma programme, Simon was able to buy a sound mixer and established a music studio together with producer and business partner, Thabiso ‘Askiller’ Onkemetse of Happy home Studio.
Though a disco fan, Simon regards himself a flexible artiste who is not confined to any particular music genre.
He said he drew inspiration from his life experiences and everything happening around him.
“Dan Tshanda and Franco are the most inspirational figures in my music career,” said Simon.
He said his music was currently not getting radio airplay but showcased his talents during public events, school prize giving ceremonies and political rallies, adding that he was grateful to the community of Botshabelo in Selebi Phikwe for supporting him.
Simon said he was optimistic that the entertainment industry would bounce back after the COVID-19 pandemic which compelled government to impose a lockdown .
He said COVID-19 was a blessing in disguise since it gave many plenty of time to introspect and plan for the future. Ends
