Council candidate does not accept results

Candidate for Digawana under Mmathethe-Molapowabojang, Mr Edwin Tau Raphuti does not accept results.
He lost to BDP candidate, Mr Daniel Motlhabankwe who attained 1 224 votes while he got 814 votes.
Mr Raphuthi said he was not pleased with the process as he found one of the ballot boxes opened at the counting station.
He said he spoke to the returning officer and was yet to submit a petition.
For his part, the returning officer Mr Robert Rabasimane confirmed that he was aware of the situation and was to get clarity from the returning officer of the ward.
He said there were procedures that candidates had to follow to lodge their case, adding that they had to submit a letter to get a response.ENDS
