Low turnout of voters in Nxamasere

People still queuing at Nxamasere Primary School polling station. Returning Officer Ms Olebogeng Mhaladi said of the 401 who registered in the area, 230 voted. Ms Mhaladi said they encountered one incident in which a voter was carrying an expired ID card. However, she said the person managed to collect a renewed card and managed to vote. Also, she said some people's names did not match with the ones on their ID cards and voters roll. That, she said delayed the process as they had to seek assistance from IEC office in Gumare.
Meanwhile, 713 people have voted at Kareng Primary polling station in the Ngami constituency out of 969 expected. Presiding officer, Mr Oyapo Jimmy said the turnout was impressive especially among the youth, who came in large numbers. Ends
