BDP to implement proposed projects - Tsogwane

The Vice President, Mr Slumber Tsogwane says the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) intends to implement all its proposed projects.
Mr Tsogwane told a political rally in Motopi village on Tuesday that the BDP had started implementation of a knowledge based economy through the recent launch of an electric car .
He urged the electorates to vote for the party to safeguard the country’s economy and resources.
He stated that the declaration of assets and liabilities bill had been passed to fight corruption and secure government property.
He indicated that the Citizen Economic Empowerment Policy and Community Based Natural Resources Management would be converted into acts as a move to ensure Batswana played a key role in the local economy.
He dismissed opposition parties saying all they did was to duplicate BDP programmes.
He said the electorates should also not be misled by people who dismissed BDP as an old party, saying it had a new president, who would bring new hope for Batswana.
Mr Tsogwane implored the electorates to vote for members of Parliament and councillors taking into consideration the party they represented, the personality of its leadership and their potential.
He BDP planned to make changes in the education system.
He added that the BDP was driving an inclusive economy, why was why its manifesto had been translated to braille to cater for people living with impaired vision.Mr Tsogwane said the BDP respected Bogosi and that the institution should not be confused with politics.
Boteti West Campaign Manager, Mr Baobonye Loeto said they had conducted a house to house campaign, which showed that the BDP would claim the constituency.
Mr Loeto implored residents to vote for Mr Tsogwane as he was the only candidate who had the potential and capability to advocate for their welfare.
Motopi/Makalamabedi council candidate Mr Ontiretse Kabalele said the BDP was the only party that had the potential to lead as it had dedicated itself to uplifting the lives of Batswana. ENDS
