RNB Trapsoul artist, Ofentse Murphy Malau, stage name Murphy Coolest, has released a single titled Trust, which apexes the significance of trust and faith in relationships.
The 19-year-old lad revealed in an interview that the five months old single discourages insecurities and trust issues that are common in relationships. He advises against jumping to the wrong conclusions when in a relationship as these can only lead to chaos. “It, therefore, inspires people to believe in one another as well as to have faith in others as well.”
He explained that his song also addresses the faith and trust that his fans have in him as it was also inspired by the love and support he received from his fans throughout his journey of making music. He released the song as a gift to them.
“Trust was released on May 18, my birthday and the single is a gift to everybody who believed and supported me throughout my journey in making music until I finally released my first single. It has a video, which I uploaded on YouTube and Facebook,” he said.
Murphy went on to explain that although Trust was his gateway into the music industry, he intends to release another single as soon as possible as he was passionate about music. He explained that his goal was to represent Botswana internationally via music.
On top of that, he intends to communicate with the public through his music. By so doing, the Sikwane youngster chose RNB Trapsoul, a flexible genre that appeals to all ages.
When quizzed about his other plans, Murphy explained that he was fully dedicated to music and planned to nurture his talent even further.
Even though Murphy doesn’t have any other work beside his music, he is cognizant of challenges facing musicians and is not the one to back down from any obstacles.
“For starters, I don’t believe in quitting because if I want something I’m going after it whole heartedly and if I fail I try again until I make it,” he said. He went on to explain about his recent challenge and how he tackled it. “The obstacles that I came across were that it was hard to gather a solid fan base. I then saw it fit to shoot a music video for the song and that’s what got the song this far that’s what made people know who Murphy Coolest is,” he said boldly.
His motto is “follow your passion. Hustle for your craft, love the pace that you grow up with because it’s shaping and molding you into something beautiful and special,” said the promising artiste. ENDS
