Reunion Island based Hip Hop artiste Boitumelo Ben alias Danielle Swagger has released a solo project dubbed I’m woke which premiered on the biggest radio station Reunion1ere in April.

 I’m woke video is expected to hit shelves end of the month.

During a telephonic interview the Tonota-born rapper, revealed that the track was produced locally by HonestBeatz and mastered by Joel Agape of UMC Records in Reunion Island.

Danielle Swagger is not new on the music scene,  previously she released a radio single Sheba Gusheshe and also collaborated with French pianist Fabio Marouvin on a  digital single project dubbed  I got it which is still on rotation and doing well.

The 26-year-old recently told her  Facebook followers that I’m woke was motivated by her producer HonestBeatz and centred around her determination, battles and overcoming in an saturated industry.

“I did not feature anyone to avoid complications,”she said.

She added that her music journey had been marred by trials and tribulations in the dog eat dog industry where one has to literally sell their souls to the devil to penetrate.

“Music is a passion, and given the challenges faced by artistes some cannot withstand the heat, hence the appearance and desertion of artistes. I am here to stay and nothing is going to deter me,” she said.

Her focus is growing her brand internationally, raising the Botswana flag higher and also promoting cultural exchange.

Danielle Swagger has collaborated with French group Cinkieme Degre on Dans Un Regard and Queen Favie  which she said  were on airplay and available on all digital  platforms.

Aside from her music, the mother of one, says her daughter and fiancée were an inspiration to her career.

If not working on her music Danielle Swagger models and is presently learning French. ENDs
