Mothusi-Brandon Moremi will  join a Hollywood cast, which include among others, Anthony Mackie  of The Avengers on the feature film, The Blue Mauritius as security chief.

This follows a casting call for an international feature in September where more that 130 young Batswana hopefuls took part in the auditions for the principal role of security chief in the heist film.

Moremi, who hails from Mmadinare said the role comes as a big break for him adding that his only act was a one man show titled Here After, a production at 2018 Maitisong Festival. 

Though he did not complete his Theatre Studies at the University of Botswana, he said he had been struggling to get a break for the past five years. 

The 28-year-old however said determination and perseverance got him to this point, and advised other aspiring actors to always perfect their skills and be ready for any audition available.

The film’s associate producer, Mompati Rantuana noted that they auditioned 130 hopefuls and shortlisted 14 and Moremi was the perfect man for the role. The Blue Mauritius, a P150m production, will be shot in Cape Town, South Africa in May 2020. ENDs
