Veteran Kwaito artist Thebe Mogane aka uncle Thebe will rock the Mascom Live Session stage at Botswana Craft on August 30.

The South African legendary kwaito producer and lyricist will perform alongside Botswana’s finest DJs Boogie Sid, Mr O and Robbie Rob. Although famed for live bands performances, the Live Session will be just that, a dance experience. 

In an interview with one of the organizers, Robin Chivazve, noted that the Sharp Kunjani singer does not perform with a live band and had never done. 

This, Chivazve, indicated would not take out the element of live sessions, but rather as organisers they were trying out new things. 

Unlike most artistes of his generation, 25 years in the industry, the kwaito muso has proved to be still relevant as he continues to unleash his potential and versatility by being able to collaborate with the latest kids on the block. 

While he has been keeping it low, he made a grand come back being featured in DJ Sumbody's hit song Monate Mpolaye, alongside the fill up the dome star Cassper Nyovest and Vettis.

The Bulaboot singer who still enjoys a huge fan base, is adored by his fans for his sarcastic vulgar lyrics and dope kwaito tunes. Uncle Thebe is known for hits like Jola, Sokoloko, Lenyora among others. 

Thebe has lately featured on new trends with new talent like Qhom and Amapiano and fuses well adding the zing to the tunes.

Chivazve said the Mascom Live sessions change with seasons and as organizers they always change with artists. ends
