Show to market upcoming artists build up to Thuntsha Lerole festival

Upcoming artistes in Francistown will on August 31, treat revelers to a rendition of music buffet during a no cost show that will take place in Monarch location in Francistown.
The show, whose objective is to market smalltime musicians to music lovers, will also act as a build up to the premiere of the annual Thuntsha-Lerole festival later in the year.
The Saturday event, scheduled to start at 2pm and ending at 10 pm, will feature Peaceful Jah Warrior, real names Humphrey Nyamukurira, an illustrious Dancehall and Reggae artiste from neighbouring Zimbabwe.
Kabo Keorapetse, a House-Gospel artiste of ‘O etla Jesus’ fame , known in music circles as Bignose said in an interview this week that the event would serve as a platform to give upcoming artistes a rare opportunity to showcase their music talent to fans and hopefully appeal to them.
“We have decided to organise our own show because we feel hard-done by promoters who have a tendency to give us a cold shoulder,” he said.
To this end, Bignose and fellow smalltime artistes have resolved to introduce Thuntsha-Lerole festival, which will be held annually as a platform to give up and coming musicians the necessary exposure.
Also, the August 31 music show according to Bignose, would ensure young people in Monarch and around Francistown stay away from vices that could land them into trouble.
“People should brace themselves for a good time, good music and top-notch musical performances from among the finest lineup of artistes such as Onx Wa Mazoti, Alcano kwaito artiste, Lebi Wa Batswana, King Steel, DJ Apache and many others,” Bignose said.
Bignose has thus called on well-wishers and potential sponsors to come on board to become part of this great vision. ends
