Lizibo Ringo put up memorable show

Botswana’s finest musician, Lizibo and South Africa’s celebrated singer, Ringo Madlingozi delivered a memorable performance during Mascom Live session show at Botswana Craft on April 5.
Lizibo started off his set by taking the revellers down memory lane with Kgotla’s song, Matshediso.
He was then joined on stage by Mr Tagg for Selemela song.
Clad stylishly in a black jacket and torn jeans, Lizibo did not disappoint his fans as they sang along to the old tunes.
The Kalanga lad gave a mellow and less hype performance than his usual performances with a choral performance by KTM Choir for Malebeswa rendition.
Ringo, serenaded the crowd, which comprised of the young and the old, with his old Xhoza tunes, which got all singing along and dancing.
Ringo, who is an amazing performer, put up a beatifully charged show leaving his fans shouting for more.
His notable stage presence, strong soothing voice and energic performance, Kum Na Kum hit maker ensured that his audience connected to his enticing display of his artistry.
He sang Baleka, a song which pleads with anyone, who is in an abusive relationship to break away.
Other songs among his set were the popular ones; Ndiyagodola, simply meaning ‘I am getting cold’, and Ngekhe Ndikulibale meaning ‘I will never forget you’.
A Sondela collaboration rendition by Ringo and Lizibo had the audience singing and dancing along, which turned out to be the highlight of the show.
Ringo allowed Lizibo to own the song and for a second, one would have been tempted to believe that it was Lizibo’s song. The two gave a sterling concert ever attended.
Earlier on in an interview, Ringo indicated that he was working on his next project.
The album, he said was about love, peace, unity, tolerance and patience.
Already, he said he has done the single, Ngicele ubuza meaning ‘May I ask’.
He further said he was impressed by Lizibo’s voice adding that he had a beautiful thick round tenor.
Ringo said he was happy that he managed to work with Lizibo and other artistes in Botswana.
Ringo has worked with Shanti Lo in the past but never got the chance to record any song, but he said he wishes to see something happening. ENDS
