Former GU player Rhuu to launch third album

05 Feb 2019

Not many people can say they are living their dreams.

But musician Karabo ‘Rhuu’ Modise is one of the few who have fulfilled their childhood dreams.

Thirty-seven-year-old Modise, who had just launched his third album, Ko gae, said his love for music started wayback when he used to sing in church.

His love for music was born then and it was always his dream to release a music album.

And the dream came true in 2005 when he started singing professionally.

Already, he has three albums A re bineng setso, Dimoraro Maronthotho and Ko gae to his name.

Ko gae is a six-track album, which he said had been received well by his supporters.

He noted that the album had also received positive feedback from some of his followers in Zimbabwe and South Africa.

The Oodi-born artiste said he used money raised through his album to sustain himself.

Already, he has managed to buy a car and and music equipment, which benefits him a lot as they are hired in parties and weddings thus he is able to make extra cash.

Also, he said through his music career, he was able to build his  own house.

He said he also worked hard to build some houses for his dancers as well

The artiste said he wanted to continue working hard to acquire a bigger and better sound system. He also hopes to be able to invite artistes from South Africa to perform during his album launches in future.

He said the only challenge he sometimes experiences was the studio charges, saying they were sometimes difficult to pay without sponsorship.

His advice to young people who wish to venture into music is that they should not try it if they do not have the love and passion for it.

He said a real singer who wants to make it in the industry should be patient as it takes a great deal of time to be well known or do well too. ENDs
