Mangole fearless debator - Gaolathe

11 Sep 2014

The Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) prospective parliamentary candidate for Mochudi West, Mr Gilbert Mangole has been described as a fearless debator and a hard worker who made an immense contribution during parliament deliberations.

Launching the UDC candidates in Mochudi on September 7, the UDC deputy leader, Mr Ndaba Gaolathe said Mr Mangole was an intelligent man who was not afraid to stand for the truth.

He said he had learnt a lot from his former boss while he was still working for Bank of Botswana and was patient in guiding him during his tenure with the bank.

Mr Gaolathe, also Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) leader, asked voters to vote for Mr Mangole during the October 24 elections so that he could continue to serve the nation and liberate Batswana from living in fear.

Mr Gaolathe further called on Bakgatla to make sure they vote the Botswana Democratic Party out of parliament as they had failed to uplift the lives of Batswana.

The BMD leader stated that it was time that Batswana open their eyes and make sure they bring change during this elections. He further said he would like to see Mr Mangole back in parliament and that could only happen if people voted for him in large numbers.

Another speaker, UDC national organising secretary, Mr Wynter Mmolotsi, said Mr Mangole was an able bodied man whose wisdom was needed in the running of parliament.

He said Mr Mangole had shown leadership skills in the parliamentary committees he had served in and it was this leadership intellect that Parliament needed.

Mr Mmolotsi noted that he was sure Batswana living in Kgatleng would not disappoint their party as they would vote for him in large numbers. UDC wanted to bring change which Batswana needed to embrace compared to the deteriorating freedom under the current government, he added.

For his part, Mr Mangole asked voters to elect him in large numbers on polling day, adding that he was sure that Bakgatla would not disappoint him as they knew what they wanted.

Mr Mangole said Kgatleng was void of development and their intention when they take over power was to make sure that development would come to the district.

He called on the youth to stand up and vote in great numbers as they make the larger share of the population. ENDS
