Hobona appreciates Francistown West voters
04 Aug 2014
The Botswana Congress Party (BCP) leader, Mr Dumelang Saleshando says his party is the only one that is meaningful to Batswana and it should be voted into power.
Speaking during launch of the Francistown West prospective parliamentary candidate, Dr Habaudi Hobona and councillors on August 2, Mr Saleshando said the country was faced with challenges of high unemployment, particularly amongst the youth, an economy dominated by foreigners, unreliable supply of water and electricity, crisis in education, lack of access to land and conflict with labour organisations.
“Botswana is not facing all this challenges because of some pre-ordained curse,” he said, adding that things 'were falling apart' due to the leadership failure. He said the party had only one council ward in Francistown West and urged the residents to vote BCP so that they win all council wards.
Mr Saleshando further appealed to residents to vote for Dr Hobona in large numbers because she still had much to offer in order to change Francistown West locations.
For her part, Dr Hobona appreciated the public for voting her in large numbers during the bye-elections early this year. Dr Hobona further said she still had much to say at parliament concerning Francistown developments, unemployment; education and, which Batswana needed most.
Dr Hobona said if voted into power, she would advocate for equal land distribution so that “we all to benefit from our land.” She said her aim was to develop Francistown West locations and improve the lives of its residents.
Nata/Gweta BCP parliamentary candidate, Dr Ditiro Majadibodu said raw materials such as salt and diamonds were being exported to other countries for job creations.
He said they needed to build factories in Botswana that would benefit every Motswana and urged the residents to vote Dr Hobona because she is the right woman to lead and change Francistown West. ENDS
